A Solo Trip to Mexico City on 35mm Film

This year the color red has been following me. Lurking in my film scans. Maybe I have been looking for it too.

I went to Mexico City for 2 weeks by myself, took Spanish classes in the mornings, and in the afternoons I walked until my favorite red boots were worn through the soles. I spent my weekends wandering around - looking, looking, looking - for the light and the color that oozed off of buildings around me. This is my happy place. A creative meditation of sorts.

For me, one perk of being a photographer and working for myself is the freedom I have to move. Travel and time feels like a gift when you can make it work. Shot on Cinestill 800T on a Contax T2. Processed and scanned by Underdog Film Lab.
